Distillerie Gaudentia Persoz Absinthe La P’tite
Located in Couvet, in the heart of the Val-de-Travers, Distillerie d’Absinthe Persoz carries on the tradition of absinthe from the historic birthplace of the Green Fairy. Behind the Absinthe Persoz label is Gaudentia Persoz, the first female legal absinthe distiller in Switzerland.
Handcrafted by the family using botanicals grown in the Val-de-Travers, the distillery’s absinthes continue the traditions preserved during the clandestine era. The distillery promotes an authentic approach where botanical quality, craftsmanship and attachment to the region remain central values.
Visitors can also discover the world of absinthe through guided tours led by Gaudentia Persoz, who shares the history of absinthe, the work of the plants and the secrets behind her production methods.
Style: Artisanal Val-de-Travers absinthe, family tradition and clandestine heritage.
