Located in Couvet, in the heart of the Val-de-Travers, Distillerie La Valote Martin carries on a family tradition of absinthe production passed down through generations. Taken over by Philippe Martin from his father Francis, a former clandestine distiller, the distillery continues the absinthe heritage of the birthplace of the Green Fairy.
The distillery’s absinthes are crafted using plants from the Val-de-Travers, some of which are grown on site. Visitors can also discover one of the region’s rare historic drying barns, a reminder of the methods used before the 1910 prohibition.
Combining botanical gardens, living heritage and tasting rituals, La Valote Martin offers an authentic immersion into the world of traditional Val-de-Travers absinthe.
Style: Traditional Swiss absinthe, family heritage and absinthe craftsmanship.
